ART COMPETITION
Calling all artists!
We're inviting young artists across Overton to get creative and share their vision of our planet — past, present, and future. Whether you paint, draw, write, or build, we want to see it.
About the competition
Sustainable Overton believes that looking after our world starts with how we see it — and children often see it most clearly of all. This competition is your chance to tell us what sustainability means to you: the nature you love, the world you want to live in, or the changes you'd like to see.
All entries will be displayed as part of a special exhibition, and a shortlist of finalists will be judged by Overton's Mayor, who will personally select the winners in each age group.
Preschool KS1 KS2 KS3 KS4
What you can enter
Any artwork inspired by nature, the environment, or sustainability — in any medium you like, including:
-
Drawing or painting
-
Poster or collage
-
Poem or short written piece
-
Sculpture or 3D artwork (upcycled materials especially welcome!)
-
Photography or digital art
One entry per child please. Artwork should be the child's own unaided work.
Why enter?
Your artwork could end up on display in Overton for the whole community to enjoy. Winners in each age group will receive a creative art prize — and the pride of knowing the Mayor chose your work. Most of all, it's a chance to be heard: your ideas about the future of our planet genuinely matter to us.
How to enter
-
Create your artwork — any size, any medium.
-
Write your name, age, school, and a short title for your piece on the back (or on a separate label for 3D work).
-
Bring it to Testbourne Community School, Overton Primary School or email a photo or digital file to hello@sustainableoverton.org
Closing date: Friday 30 May 2025. Entries received after this date cannot be considered.
