POLLINATOR PROTECTOR
You can now become an official Overton pollinator protector. Together with Hampshire Countryside Service we are taking action for our local pollinators. And it involves you, too!
We want to extend the HCS pollinator pledge into your garden. Read more below to find out how you join in on the action by promising a patch of your garden for pollinators. Perhaps you sow native wildflowers, build a bug hotel or create a log pile. If you're feeling more adventurous, how about putting in a pond?

It's up to you how much you want to do, but be warned -- once you get started gardening for pollinators and wildlife, it's hard to stop. We want to save them all, don't we?

The link will take you to Hampshire County Council's page where there is loads of information about the pledge and ideas for what you can do in your garden to help pollinators.

DON'T KNOW WHERE TO START?

On their website, Natural Basingstoke has put together lots of things you can do in your community or your own garden to promote biodiversity. They call it Random Acts of Wilderness.
Similarly, Team Wilder have put a whole page full of actions you can take in your garden with excellent guides to follow. Find the actions HERE.
